What exactly will I receive for my DPC membership?

While it’s hard to list out all that will be included in our DPC membership, we have an extensive document that we can send you that includes an itemized list of all of the care that our office provides for your monthly DPC membership cost. Some of those services are (but not limited to): primary care & preventative medicine, medication management, physicals & medical examinations, laboratory & diagnostic services, wound & injury care & minor surgery (dermatological), sports medicine, ear, nose & throat care, men’s & women’s health, weight management & consultations around peptide therapy, access to EMSELLA treatments, and telemedicine & care while traveling. Please contact us for a more detailed list and clarifications.
Will I still need insurance?

Direct Primary is not a replacement for insurance. Health and medical insurance is still a good idea to be enrolled with in case of need for emergency services, specialist services, or a medical catastrophe such as an automobile or farming accident. Many of our patients subscribe to health insurance catastrophe plans or christian health sharing plans.
Will I still need the emergency room?

Emergencies happen and there are instances where our office cannot meet emergent needs that can only be addressed in a hospital facility. As your primary care doctor, you will have access to a provider in order to ask if you should go to the emergency room or if there is a way to triage your issues from home. We’ve had many patients over the years who have saved a trip to the emergency room (and hundreds if not thousands of dollars) because of a relationship with their provider through Hastings Medical. We, however, do not function as an emergency room. We do, however, provide most of what your average urgent care can take care of medically.
